Ansel Adams - The Lost Negs

Rick Norsigian a Fresno School District Painter found a box of negatives at a garage sale in 2000 and purchased them for $45. These negatives turned out to be the lost works of Ansel Adams worth millions.

Kodachrome 1935-2010

As I am sure most of you know Kodachrome is now no longer being produced, there is an interesting article in the Citizen about Steve McCurry and the last roll of Kodachrome.

To quote Paul Simon "Mama don't take my Kodachrome away", you will be missed!!

Alumni Update | Jackson Couse

Documentary photographer Jackson Couse has photographs from his project Playing House included in the international exhibition Bodies in Trouble at the SAW Gallery in Ottawa.

The exhibition and reception is July 22nd and the show runs till October 3rd, 2010.

Innovation Station

Algonquin College's Innovation Station recently did a Case Study about the Algonquin Photography Program. We are not ones to toot our own horns but it was very nice to be recognized for our work, so we thought we would share.

Young Photographers Alliance

We are pleased to announce that three of our 2010 graduates Jen Hladkowicz, Jennifer Allison and Christos Spentzos are participating in the Young Photographers Alliance Mentoring program.
